Precision collet GERC - System ER

Design: DIN ISO 15488-B (DIN 6499 old). These collets set a standard in terms of standard collet chucks. The super finish design with a surface roughness of < 1.6 µm offers a higher load ratio, higher rigidity and clamping forces as well as higher system concentricity. They are all protected against corrosion with the new FAHRION Protect coating. The characteristics for GERC collets from FAHRION are: • Precise – concentricity and repeat accuracy 5 µm. • Stable – only 12 slots are sufficient to achieve the required clamping diameter bridging according to DIN ISO 15488-B.Our collets are significantly less prone to misalign in the lower clamping area as compared with 16-fold slotted collets. • Gentle – All longitudinal edges are not only deburred but also additionally rounded which protects the collet chuck inner cone from any markings. This is precondition to ensuring constant high concentricity. Application: To nest tools with cylindrical shank as well as to DIN 1835 B, 1835 E, 6535 B and 6535 E. Note: Clamping diameter bridging is 1.0 mm (below 2.0 mm dia. = 0.5 mm). The largest ∅ is always stated, i.e. ∅ 16.0 mm clamps back to ∅ 15.0 mm (labelling is e.g. GERC 32 F 470 E16).
