Important note for working with stainless steel: For working with stainless steel generally only iron and sulphur- free tools are recommended. A tool should never be used for stainless steel after processing ordinary steel. Residue from ordinary steel can be left on the tool. These residues destroy any stainless

steel alloy and lead to the formation of rust on the machined stainless steel. Even sparks from machining ordinary steel can damage stainless steel alloys.

Cutting disc for steel

Design: Aluminium oxide (A24, A30, A46, A60), with fibre-reinforced resin bond for long life and grinding performance. Standard bore 22.23 mm. Application: Ideal for steel, cutting, profiling of sheet and solid metal. Thin cutting discs (1.0-1.9 mm thick) are ideal for fast and convenient de-burring, 2.4 mm for universal cutting jobs and 3.0 to 3.2 mm for maximum tool life with high lateral stability. Note: For more safety and higher lateral stability when working with cutting discs from 178 mm ∅, we recommend using a spanner flange, see (Order No. 8110 0010 Ç 8/17).
