Particularly stable model, profile grinding, cutting to the right, up to ∅ 16,0 mm nitrated chamfers, from ∅ 16.0 mm steam tempered surface, with precise point grind and wide clamping grooves with heavily rounded back edges. Good centring characteristics due to point thinning according to DIN 1412, form A. Angle of rake larger than normal, core thickness considerably thicker than normal and without core gradient. Application: Suitable for drilling extremely deep holes under difficult conditions e.g. poor chip removal, therefore causing deficient cooling of the drill tip.
